On Wednesday, I'm making a presentation, with Bryan Young of Monsanto, to the St. Louis chapter of SLA. We're calling it: "Welcome to the Blogosphere: Two Librarians’ Perspectives." Bryan is doing the "what is a blog and why do I care and how do I find them" part of the talk, so I can concentrate on the "how do I make one of my own" aspect.

Since I started work at Wash U, I've started a second blog, What does a Web Services Librarian do?. This one is more local--I expect my co-workers to be the primary audience.
Wash U recently started experimenting with blogs and chose Typepad as both the software and the host of the blogs. Watch for a live sample post on my web services librarian blog, this one using an editor that is a bit more What You See Is What You Get (WYSIWYG). Oh, and categories.
The WU Libraries Blogs blog links to other blogs that we have created.
If we have time, after taking questions about blogs, I may throw up Wikis For Librarians.

Either today's Tuesday or I'm really far behind on HigherEd BlogCon. If you haven't had a chance to experience it yet, what I've seen and heard so far has been dynamite:
Our own Library Success wiki was featured as today's wiki on the 33 Wikis in 33 Days project at eastwikkers. Congrats to Meredith Farkas of Information Wants to be Free for recognition as the evangelist and gardener of this great resource.
